Story
Smooth is a gleaming spiral staircase tiled with the gem of mint. To create a fully rounded impression of mint, smooth uses two different species of plants - the soft, velvety peppermint and a rare, punchy batch of field mint (an oil that’s often skimmed of its excess menthol for industrial purposes, but presented here in its original form).
Rich, refreshing lavender from Bulgaria is added to the mix. Lavender and mint make a supportive pair, like your couple-friends who invite you over to their beautiful apartment so you can bitch about your love life and they’re so sweet you’re not even jealous of them.
But Smooth is not content to be just another suburban spa soother (though it’s magic for aches and sluggishness). Drug-sweet benzoin, crackling clove and joyful geranium are here, creating a sepia glow that’s part retro seafoam blazer, part mint-chip ice cream. A flourish of rum-raisin-y davana adds a boozy, sophisticated finish, but it’s also there to perform its signature trick: its scent famously transforms on different skins, personalizing the formula for each wearer. A multi-purpose scent vitamin becomes a new classic.
